Quartet With A Twist is a string quartet based in Perth, Western Australia, that has been providing high-quality music for weddings, events and corporate events since 2012.
The ‘Twist’ in Quartet With A Twist’s name stands for their unique instrumentation – instead of the standard two violins, viola and cello, the cello has been replaced with a double bass! As a result, Quartet With A Twist’s sound is unique and sets them apart from other string quartets.
The core of Quartet With A Twist is comprised of musicians who have been classically trained and graduated from The University of Western Australia. We also occasionally call on other musicians with similar backgrounds and a wealth of experience. Our musicians are also engaged in many orchestral positions around Perth, including the Perth Symphony Orchestra, Perth Chamber Orchestra, Fremantle Chamber Orchestra, and the WA Philharmonic (WA Ballet), just to name a few.
